As a member of AEMinho, Tabique Engenharia was present at the 2nd<\/sup> anniversary of the association, in a ceremony held on the 26th<\/sup> of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ceremony was attended by the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, by the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho and by the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, were also present two Mayors, Braga and Viana do Castelo, Ricardo Rio and Lu\u00eds Nobre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was also marked by the inauguration of a monument created to celebrate all the Minho\u00b4s Workers, authored by the artist Ac\u00e1cio Viegas, who describes it as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dedication, resilience, discipline and a strong work ethic are present and recognized in the Minho\u00b4s workers, but also the pride in their roots and in their cultural identity. A strong connection with nature, established by the close relationship with land and sea, which shapes their identity and influences their work practice. At the same time, keep the local culture alive through the celebration and festivities, which are presented as moments of strengthening community ties and celebrating work and devotion religious.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sculpture is formed by a central piece which is 5 meters high and built with 4 vertical elements that represent the four seasons, union and verticality, and the path that the sap travels from the root to the leaves, also representing the connection with the divine, symbiosis of heaven and earth, which therefore ends in an illuminated point that evokes religiosity and spirituality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of these elements supports two arms, positioned diagonally, which represent the resilience, union, strength and availability of the worker, and which they show at each end a coloured ceramic piece, 24 pieces in all, which represent the 24 Municipalities. These arms support translucent glass panels that represent the vision and awareness of reality, even in adverse conditions, avoiding illusions and remembering the existence of the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The larger glass panel has two different colours depending on the monument to which we refer, made of translucent green glass, in the case of the sculpture installed in Braga, and blue translucent glass in the case of the sculpture placed in Viana do Castelo, in representation of the relationship between land and sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second piece made of steel tube, with the same characteristics as the centre piece, allows interaction with the observer, who is invited to sit in the piece and reflect or meditate on the meaning of labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
