The work consisted of carrying out a set of structural works (metallic construction and reinforced concrete), civil construction finishes and special installations, for the expansion of the airport terminal and various infrastructures at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in Porto. This expansion, carried out with the airport in operation, allowed the existing air terminal measuring approximately 200x80x12.5 m to be 400x120x32 m and equipped with 11 Telescopic Bridges for direct access to aircraft.

The most significant works included the execution of Technical Tunnels, Viaduct connecting the 0th floor and the 3rd floor (corresponding to the departures terminal) Central Body of the Air Terminal, North, Central and South Piers and also the North and South Busgates, Walkways and Roundabouts connecting to the telescopic bridges, as well as all hydraulic, electrical and mechanical installations, signage and security necessary for the operation of the terminal.
